Develop exemplary clinical SOCIAL WORK

This terminal degree program takes a community-based approach to social work and can be completed in either 10 months (for students with a bachelor's of social work), or in 2 years (for all other undergraduate majors). Our graduates are competent and effective practitioners who empower individuals, families and groups with unwavering attention to social justice and systemic change.

ADVANCED STANDING

Complete your master’s in social work in only 10 months. If you graduated with a bachelor's of social work (BASW or BSW) from a CSWE- accredited program, you can attend a 4-week term in August, then jump right into the second year of the program. This is one of the most cost-effective and time-efficient ways to get your master’s degree, while still gaining the comprehensive clinical courses and practicum experience you need.

THE SOCIAL JUSTICE DIFFERENCE

As part of the University-wide mission of social justice, this degree program is committed to preparing a next generation of social workers who challenge systemic injustice, heal trauma, help those who are in vulnerable situations and in turn create positive societal change. We do this through integrating critical pedagogy, a decolonizing lens, anti-oppressive pedagogy and an equity mindset into all aspects of our curriculum.
